The given pie charts illustrate data about the ways of getting rid of dangerous waste products in three different countries, namely the Republic of Korea, Sweden, and the UK.
Overall, it can be seen that the most common method in the Republic of Korea is recycling. However, in Sweden and the UK, specialists tend to bury threatening items under the surface instead of using other ways. When it comes to chemical treatment and dumping at sea, they are the least preferred ways of disposing of waste in the UK, but in the other two countries, it is not even under consideration.
Looking at the details, the most popular method in the UK and Sweden is burying waste products underground, with 82% and 55%, respectively. By comparison, in the Republic of Korea, the percentage of using the ‘underground’ process is lower, at 22%. Regarding recycling, in the Republic of Korea, the proportion was higher than in Sweden, at 69% compared to only 29% for Sweden, while in the UK there is no recycling at all.
On the other hand, the lowest proportion of dealing with bad goods in Sweden is incineration, with 2%. In the Republic of Korea, the percentage amounted to 9%, making it higher by 7% than in the UK. Chemical treatment and dumping at sea are used only in the UK, with 8% and 9%, correspondingly.
