It is clear that among three countries, The Republic of Korea carried out the largest amount of recycling, beside that The United Kingdom had the highest propotion of underground waste compared to Sweden and The Republic of Korea. Furthermore Sweden had a more balanced distribution, but undergound waste accounted for the largest propotion. The propotion of waste incinerated was relatively low across all three countries.
The Republic of Korea has the largest propotion of recycled waste, reaching 69%, while Sweden had a lower propotion. In contrast, Sweden recorded higher propotion of underground waste at 55%, compared to The Republic of Korea. Both countries have the smallest propotion of incineration waste, with the Republic of Korea reaching 9%, whereas Sweden accounts for 20% of waste incinerated.
The United Kingdom shows the greatest difference in waste management compared to the Republic of Korea and Sweden. In the United Kingdom, underground waste accounts for the highest share among all waste categories, reaching 82%. In addition, the chemical treatment waste has the same propotion as the ocean dumping, with both constituting only 8% of the total. On the other hand, the inceneration waste is the smallest propotion among all waste categories, accounting for only 2%.
