The production, consumption and profit distribution around the world of coffee in 2014 are illustrated through the pie charts.
Overall, South Africa was the biggest producer while Europe and America were consumed the most of coffee worldwide. Moreover, shipping was the most lucrative business in comparison with other services.
Firstly, Europeans and Americans collectively consume 80% of the world’s coffee. Meanwhile, Japan, whose production conducted for 18% internationally, only have 8% for the consumption. Moreover, South Africa’s coffee manufacturing was double from Indonesia, which accounted for 44% and 22%, respectively.
Secondly, transport was the most profitable service globally (51%), which comprised more than half of revenue. Nevertheless, retailers consist of nearly a quarter of coffee’s profit distribution (24%) and the least beneficial one was exporters involving 10%.
