The pie charts compare the proportions of volunteers by organizations in 2008 and 2014. Overall, the share of volunteers in environmental organizations accounted for the highest proportion in both years, followed by sport organizations. It is also clear that health care had the lowest percentage of volunteers throughout the period.
Focusing on the increases first. The percentage of volunteers in environmental organizations had the highest share at 21%, then it rose significantly to 29% in 2014. Followed by sport, which stood at 15% before increasing drastically to 25% in 2014. Health care ranked last, accounting for 7% in 2008, after that it increased to only 8% in 2014.
In contrast, the share of volunteers in unspecific organizations began at 15% in 2008 before falling slightly to 9% in 2014 compared to art which stood at 18% in 2008, after that it declined to 12% in 2014. Finally, educational organizations was recorded at 24% in 2008, before becoming the second smallest category in 2014.
