In general, oil accounted for the largest proportion of energy consumption, while the reverse was true for other renewables.
To begin with, at 34 per cent, oil was significantly higher than other renewables, which accounted for only 6 per cent. Futhermore, natural gas was the second most prominent, and there was a substantial gap between it and hydroelectric, with figures of 27 per cent and 7 respectively.
Regarding remaining categories, the figure for coal was slightly higher at 16 per cent than that for nuclear, which accounted for only 10 per cent.
