The pie chart illustrates the cause of degradation of farmland in three different group. The most possibly cause of land degradation is over-glazing covering more than 1 of 3 of the world which is around 35 percent. The lesser possibly cause is deforestation which is estimated 30 percent ,and over-farming of crops around 28 percent, respectively. The other reason account for 7 percent, collectively.
The table below the pie chart compare the percentage of land degradation affecting three different region in different way in 1990s. Europe is the most region having degraded land by 23 percent and most of the number cause by deforestation which is over 9 percent. While in Oceania and North America land degradation affect on deforestation with only 1.7 percent and 0.2 percent, respectively. With the highest of land degradation, Europe significantly suffered from over-cultivation (around 7,7%) and over-gazing (around 5.5%), respectively. In contrast, The Oceania sufferd land degradation in 1990s about 13% that mostly due to over-gazing which is 11.3 percent. The North America have the lowest proportion of degraded land which is only around 5% and it is mainly cause by over-cultivation of crops with only 1.7% and to lesser extend over-hazing (1.5%)
Overall,Europe is the suffered from land degradation more than other region and the main cause is from deforestation and over-gazing .
