The data outlines the 5 causes of land degradation and how, in what percentage, they affected the three regions during 1990s. It can also be seen that the 3 main causes in a close sense affect.
The largest percentage of land degradation is due to over-grazing (35%). If you look by region, in Europe, 5.5 out of 23% of land degradation is due to this cause. So in North America 1,5 out of 5%. In the first two regions, the over-grazing takes the 2nd place due to the main reasons for the deterioration of the earth, and in Oceania the 1st place with 11.3 out of 13%
Over-cultivation is the least popular reason of the 3 most pronounced for a decrease in land fertility. In Europe, it ranks second with 7.7%. In North America, this reason is the first in its prevalence with 3.3 out of 5%. Unlike other regions in Oceania, over-cultivation occupies the 3rd place without affecting the soil at all.(0%). If we talk about cutting down trees, then only in Europe this is the main cause, having 9.8% out of 23%. In other regions, it ranks 2nd in Oceania with 1.7% and 3rd in North America with 0.2%.
Overall, we can see that each region has its own main cause of soil deterioration. Despite this,over-grazing has become the most widespread , and the largest percentage of degenerated soil is in Europe
