The pie chart provides information regarding the proportion of internet users in five different age groups in Indonesia in 2020. Overall, the highest percentage of internet users was aged 18 to 24, accounting for two-fifths, whereas the smallest percentage of one-twentieth belonged to those aged 55 and over.
To begin with, young people made up the largest group of internet users, where 40 percent were aged between 18 and 24, followed by the 25-34 age group, which represented a smaller figure of 30 percent. Combined, these two cohorts made up two-thirds of the internet population.
In contrast, older individuals represented the smallest population of internet users. The figure for the 35-44 age group stood at 15%, while those aged 45 to 54 made up 10% of users. The lowest usage was observed among individuals aged 55 and above, at just 5%. In addition, there were twice as many internet users aged 25 to 34 as those aged 35 to 44.
