The pie chart gives information about what the electricity is used for in an average home in the United Kingdom. Digits are given in percentage.
Overall, it is clear that a large proportion of the electricity is used either for heating rooms or water, while only a relatively small amount of it is used in electric appliances, lightening, TV, and radio.
As is illustrated by the pie chart, the percentage of electricity used in heating rooms and waters accounted for approximately half of the total amount of energy. Other home appliances such as, ovens, kettles, and washing machines ranked second, by consuming around a fifth of the total amount of electricity.
In other two categories, including lightening, TV, radio, vacuum cleaners, food mixers, and electric tools, the proportion of electricity consumption was exactly the same, with about precisely 15%. It is noticeable that the second and third categories constituted about 50% of the total electricity consumption, collectively.
