The two pie charts provide information about the sources of income and expenses of a children’s charity in the USA in the year 2016. Overall, there are six different revenue sources, while the money spent on children divided into three sections.
Turning to the first pie chart, we can observe that donated food dominates the sources of income, accounting for 86.6%. This is followed by the community contributions at 10.4%, together making up 97% of the total income. The third highest contribution is program revenue at 2.2%. Other sources, including investment income, goverment grants and other income collectively contribute less than 1% to the total revenue.
Taking a closer look at the second chart, it is clear that program services are by far the greatest expenditure, comprising 95.8% of the total expenses. Fundraising accounts for 2.6%, and managment and general make up 1.6%. These two categories together constitue less than 5% of all costs, which equates to around 2 million dollars out of the total amount spent on children, which is $53,224,894.
