The following pie charts illustrate the revenue sources and the expenditures of a charitable organization placed in the USA. The data are expressed in dollars and refer to a 1-year time span (2016). Overall, the incoming outweighs the expenditures over the period of time analysed.
In detail, donated food represented three quarters of the money received, amounting to 86.6% of the total budget, compared with the community contributions and program revenue which accounted for 10.4%, respectively. The less relevant revenue categories were the investment income, the grants provided by the government, and other income, reaching 0.8% if summed together.
Conversely, the allocating sectors of expenditures were inferior. The USA charity allocated 95.8% of its funds in program services, whereas fundraising, combined with management and general funding, represented the remaining fraction of the money spent, which accounted for 2.6% and 1.6%, respectively.
On the whole, revenue sources amounted to £53,561,580, which was just sufficient to cover the expenditures of £53, 224.
