the piechart illustrates the percentages of specific language users worldwide in 2001 whereas the table describes the amount of individuals who were active online from 1997 to 2001 Overall,english users were found abundantly whereas other langauges were less commonly used,however a surge is seen in the online activity with the passage of time
it is clear from the pie chart that english was the most spoken language with 43% speakers whereas languages such as japanese,chinese,german,spanish and korean made less than 10% utilization on the other hand some unknown languages made upto 20 to 30% usage leaving italian,french,portuguese and dutch with least users of less than 5%
in contrast, table explicitly shows the increase in quantity of socially active persons, in 1997 only 1.8% of people were online, in the following years,this percentage increased slightly to 3.6 and 4.6 respectively,however a drastic elevation occured in the year 2000 where approximately 60% of world population became socially active but in the next year it dropped to 8.6 %
