Looking more closely at the figures, we can see clearly that buses occupied the largest percentage, which accounted for 32% nitrogen oxide emissions. In contrast, type of privately owned vehicles, namely motorbikes had the least proportion among various transportations, with mere 1% of total. Additionally, it is interesting to note that both taxis and cars followed closely and had the exact same proportion, making up about 20% respectively of total. In terms of commercial vehicles, vans account for around 14% of emissions. Lorries are expected to produce slightly less pollution than vans at 12%.
Finally, this data highlights a notable correlation between the types of vehicles and their respective nitrogen oxide emissions. Commercial vehicles produced significantly less pollution than vehicles for personal and mass transportation.
