Overall, the world population rose between 1900 and 2000, however, more than half of the population was from Asia or Europe.
In 1900, Asia was had highest population (60%) of the world population, followed with Europe, which was second most populated continent with one quarter of total population of the world. However, Latin America, Africa, North America and other continents were had almost similar percentage of population 3%, 4%, 5% and 3% respectively.
In 2000, There was slight downfall that occurred in the two highest populated continents Asia and Europe were had 54% and 14% of the overall population. On the other hand, population of Latin America and Caribbean, Middle East and North America and Africa was increased by 5%, 3% and 6% with compared to 1900.
Lastly, World population rose continuesly throughout that period from 1.6 billion to 6 billion.
