The two pie charts compare how the components of electricity generation in Germany evolved from 1980 to 2010.
Overall, the total units of electricity increased significantly over the 30 years. However, figures for the majority of the sources decreased, except significant increase in the yellow and a slight in the black sector. The proportion of the grey sector remained the same.
The unit of the yellow section rose dramatically from 20 to 155 between the years of 1980 and 2010. Likewise, the number in black had a slight increase from 22 to 27. On the other hand, the proportion of green was reduced markedly from 28 to only 2 units. Similarly, the units of blue section had a marginal drop from 7 to 2.
In contrast, grey remained relatively stable at 28 compared to the other sectors between 1980 and 2010.
