The figure compares the method of dealing with waste products between Republic of Korea, Sweden and United Kingdom. According to the data, it is clear that both the Sweden and the United Kingdom bury the waste products underground mostly, while the Republic of Korea recycle the majority of hazardous materials.
As the most popular treatment in United Kingdom and in Sweden, burying underground takes up 82% and 55% respectively, which takes the lead position in two countries. The other techniques utilized regularly in United Kingdom are chemical treatment and dumping at sea, which are never applied in Sweden. Instead, 25% and 20% of hazardous materials are recycled and incinerated respectively, which play a similar role in dealing with the hazardous waste in Sweden.
On the other hand, the major treatment of the waste in Republic of Korea is recycling, which takes up 69% and is far more than that in Sweden and United Kingdom. Then, the amount of the waste buried underground is only a fourth of that in United Kingdom and the percentage of incineration is a time lower than that in Sweden.
