Overall, the rate of people using Facebook accounted a huge majority, however, it tends to decrease during three years. By contrast, the percentage of this using on Twitter, Linkedln, Google and Pinterest almost rose significantly over the period
In 2011, Facebook platform witnessed the highest proportion of people using among five main channels, which accounted for nearly three fifths. However, it significantly decreased to just under the half in 2012 and still follows a consistent downward trend, with the rate comprised nearly two fifths in the final year.
By contrast, the rate of users who were interested in Twitter tended to rise from a fifth in 2011 to over a fifth in 2012 and finally reached to a quarter in 2013. Similarly, there is a slight increase in the percentage of people using Linkedln platform, which went from a minor percentage in 2011 to over a fraction in 2012. Then it gradually rose to nearly a fifth in the next year. Additionally, the percentage of people using google in 2011 had a similar upward trend, with the rate occupied from a minor percentage in 2011 to over one in ten in 2012 and 2013. Finally, Pinterest experienced the lowest proportion with a fraction during a period of three years.
