In malaysia, the highest amount of expenditure was spent on housing at 34 percent, while the figure for the same category for Japan is 21 percent. In japan, 29 percent of the citizen’s allowance was utilized on other goods and services, compared to Malaysia, which is slightly lower at 26 percent. Moreover, the contribution of Malaysia in spending money on food was 27 percent, which is greater than Japan by only 3 percent.
Regarding the other remaining categories, health care had the least proportion of consumers in both countries. Also, health care and transportation in Japan was 6 and 20 percent, respectively, which is double the amount for Malaysia at 3 and 10 percent each.
