The general overview is that people in the UK used a variety of energy. The percentage of coal was always higher than in other energy consumption in both 2000 and 2010.
In 2000, the highest percentage of energy consumption was coal energy which was used by the people in the UK, accounting for 30%. followed by using energy on gas energy, petrol energy, solar energy and on other energy, with the figure being 29.5%, 29% 6.5% and 5%, respectively.
In 2010, the energy ranking was similar to 2000. In addition, the percentage of coal energy and gas energy were slightly increased to 31% and 30%, respectively. Moreover, the percentage of solar energy and other energy were dramatically rised to 10% and 9%, respectively. However, petrol significantly declined to 20%.
