The charts compare six categories of energy production of France and Germany in 2020.
It is noticeable that most of the energy sources in both countries came from five origins, and gas, solar, and nuclear energy were the most popular in France and Germany. Also, in France, both solar and nuclear energy had the similarity in the percentage of production.
In both countries, three sources of energy saw a significant production were gas, solar, and nuclear energy. In France, gas held the highest position with 30%, but was only the second highest in Germany. Moreover, 25% of manufacturing went on both solar and nuclear energy, which were the second largest. By contrast, the proportion of solar energy was the greatest at 28%, and then followed by nuclear, with only 18% compared to 25% in France.
The coal and petrol energy accounted for 7% and 10% respectively in France, while with their German counterparts, they accounted for 10% and 14% in comparison with France. In both countries, the other energy source was also at the lowest percentage, with 3% in France and 5% in Germany.
