Overall, at the beginning of the period coal is contributed the most significant economic sector. Whereas, Other is the smallest segment. In comparison, at the end of the period, coal also remains the largest segment and other was lowest contribution made by energy production.
Coal accounted for 28.80% of energy production in 1995 and experienced a growth to 30.93% in the year 2005. Energy production from other was 4.90% in 1995 and slight growth of 5% of in 2005. At the beginning of the period, nuclear, gas made up 6.40% and 29.63% of France production respectively and these figures rose to 10.10% and 30.31%.
It is important to note that, petro is comprised almost a quarter of energy production in 1995 and dropped to 19.55% in 2005.
