Overall, it is noticeable that, over the given period, the conventional TV category represented the highest percentages; it was the service that people preferred to use. Moreover, at the end of the year, the majority of people used flat-screen televisions and received the highest rating also.
The most outstanding feature of the pie chart is that, in 2009, the rate of people who watched conventional TV was the highest and accounted for approximately 34 percent; however, by 2019, conventional TV received at least 4 percent. At the beginning of the year, the flat-screen television device in Canada was least watched by females and males. In comparison with 2019, the rate of people who preferred to watch flat-screen TV increased to almost 27 percent. However, the rate of teenagers who used tablets was lower in 2009, which made up 5 percent compared to 19 percent in 2019.
On the other hand, mobile phone service was not very popular among people in 2009; however, in 2019, it became a more prevalent device, which constituted about 26 percent—1 percent lower than the highest figure. The rate of laptop use by mostly the 24-year-old age group comprised 18 percent; however, in 2019, the number of people who used it decreased to 12 percent. Nevertheless, desktop computers accounted for 18 percent at the beginning of the year. In comparison with the other decade, the rate of this service made up 12 percent—6 percent lower.
