The two pie charts illustrate the online shopping sails for retail sectors in New Zealand in 2003 and in 2013.
The majority of the online sales belonged to travel category in 2003, with thirty six percent, while books’ number of sales was the lowest, with nineteen percent. Furthermore, the sales among clothes and film/music categories were nearly the same in 2003, with twenty four and twenty one percentage respectively.
In 2013 the online sales of films/music were slightly increased, from twenty four percent to thirty three, replacing travel sector from the top position. However, clothes sector came to the bottom of the ranking in 2013, with only sixteen percent.
It is clear that during ten years there were many significant changes in online sales for retail sectors in New Zeland. Such sectors, as travel, clothes, were leaders in 2003, but lost their positions in 2013. So, it made films/music and books more prioritised for customers.
