The pie graph above illustrates the proportion of students who are enrolled in different courses in an adult learning center in 1985 and current year. Overall, it is seen from the chart that there are some significant changes in the courses, such as, in 1985, some students chose the courses like music appreciation and local history completely, meanwhile this year they chose IT instead.
Looking at details, the most popular lesson in 1985 was modern languages estimated at 24%, however it dropped by 7% to 17% this year. Moreover, the huge proportion of students, approximately 27%, selected IT lessons this year. Meanwhile, the percentage of people enrolling in fitness and dance stayed stable at 22% both in 1985 and current year. Furthermore, there are some courses like music appreciation and local history that were at 8% and 15% in 1985, respectively, but this year none of the students chose to enroll into those courses.
In addition, the courses like cookery and art underwent a slight change in proportions. The percentage of students preferring cookery rose from 14% to 19%, meanwhile the art students’ percentage dropped from 17% to 15% this year.
