The pie charts represent the data of time spent in a day by an employed person doing different activities in a particular country in the year 1958 and 2008.
Overall, it is noticeable from the charts that working individuals spent most of their time at work in both years, whereas people spent the least of their time on commute. In addition to this, there is an inverse relationship between sleeping hours and the time at offices over 50-year period.
To begin with, in 1958, one-third of time were spent at work. This figure had been increased by 9% fifty years later. Although there was a proportion of 19% of time for hanging out with friends and family, this proportion had been decreased more than double by 2008.
By the year 2008, there was a decline in sleeping hours and only a quarter of time were allocated for sleeping. In addition, there was a slightly increased time for relaxing at home which was 13%.
