The presented pie chart illustrates the proportion of water consumed in six dinstinct regions of the world for various reasons.
In general, the usage of water is mostly for agricultural reasons for all the regions except for North America and Europe where industries occupies most proportion of water.
To begin with, in Central Asian region, water is mainly consumed for agriculture as it covers 88% of the total water consumption followed by the domestic usage in second with 7% usage and industrial usage which is the least (5% ). Similarly, water consumption data follows same pattern with South America as well as Africa where 71% and 84% of water is used in agriculture which is the highest continued by domestic usage with 19% and 9% and 10% along with 7% used by industries which is the least for the mentioned regions respectively.
On a different note, though the three regions followed same trend in the data, North America and Europe follows a completely different pattern in which 48% and 53% of water is consumed for industrial purpose which is the highest along with 39% and 32% used in agriculture and lowest amount is utilized by domestic purpose which is 13% and 15% respectively. However the only remaining region in the provided data Southeast Asia however is on a different line than every other area. Here, most water is consumed by agriculture which is 81% and the second most and the least is consumed by industries with 12% and domestic use which is 5% less than the industrial use (7%) respectively.
