Overall, the expenditure on housing and travel surged slightly over the period. By contrast spending on food and entertainment declined gradually. Meanwhile, the proportion of expenditure on healthcare remained flat at both the years.
In 2010, the household spending on transport accounted for 15% however, it increased to 20% in 2020. On the other hand, the spending on food declined to 20% from 25%. The expenditure on healthcare remained flat at 10% over the period.
In comparing both the years the spending on housing gradually climbed from 35% to 40%. Moreover, the proportion of spending on entertainment has also declined from 15 to 10% during the period. Observed that both the expenditure on housing and transport increased at the same rate at 5%, similarly the spending on food and entertainment declined.
