The pie charts illustrate the unit of fuel power to produce electricity in Australia and France in 1980 and 2000. Overall, coal as the majority fuel source that used in Australia remained the same, while in France changed. In France, the dependency on nuclear power as the backbone of fuel source changed in 2000, from natural gas and coal in 1980.
Look at the data, in Australia the electricity fuel power was coal with 50% of the total fuel source, then natural gas and hydro power with the same percentage (20% of total), and the least was oil only 10% in 1980. In 2000, there were same kinds and majority of fuel source that used. In 2000, the usage of coal source was around one in three, hydro power aproximately one in five, and there were dramatically decreased in natural gas and oil only 1% of the total source.
On other hand, in France there were differences of fuel source usage, with the percentage of nuclear power used rose dramatically from around one in six in 1980 became four in six in 2000. The others fuel source such as oil and coal was a half in 2000 than in 20 years before. The use of natural gas and hydro power also show the decreasing, 25 units to 2 units for the former and 5 units to 2 units for the latter.
