The pie charts provide information about the proportion of people who travel to one university by differerent types of vehicles in the United Kingdom in 2004 and 2009.
Overall, it can be seen that the popularity of all means of transport but cars has increased over the given period.
In 2004, around a half of people travelled by cars to work or study in this university. However, over the next 5 years, this figure has sharply decreased and reached 29% in 2009. At the same time, the percentage of students and staff who preferred to use bus increased from 33% in 2004 to 46% in 2009.
The tendency was the same with bicycles. The number of people who travelled by them has almost doubled over the 5-year period. Lastly, the percentage for people walking and travelling by train has remained practically the same incresing only by 2 and 1 percent respectively from 2004 to 2009.
