The charts shows the percentage of volunteers in five sifferent organizations in two periods.
Overall, it can be seen that the proportion of volunteers in social sectors increased, while educational sectors and others decreased. By 2014, there are more volunteers working with environmental problems than any other types.
On the one hand, both environmental and health care saw a slight increase, with environmental increasing to 29% from 21%, and health care only witnessed a 1% increase. Environmental organizataions also became the most popular sector, while health care still is the least popular one, but there are more people caring for it nonetheless. Sports also saw a moderate increase of 10% by 2014, accounting for a quarter of the chart.
On the other hand, education-related sectors and others decreased at a relatively similar proportion. Educational while being the most popular organization type in 2008, decreased an amount of 7% to 17% at 2014. Arts and others both witnessed a decrease of 6% each.
