The pie charts illustrate the primary sources of news for Germans and Nigerians in a typical week.
Overall, Germans predominantly access news through newspaper, while Nigerians rely heavily on television. Notably, other sources, such as the internet and radio, play a smaller role in both countries.
Look at the pie charts more closely, one can see that TV usage in Nigeria is significantly higher than in Germany, accounting for 63% and 30% respectively. In contrast, while nearly half of Germans depend on newspapers for news, only over one-tenths of Nigerians use them. The radio is used by 22% of Nigerians, compared to just 10% of Germans. Internet in Nigeria does not account for as much as news consumption as in Germany, at about 1% and 4% in turn. Other sources and friends and family are the least popular sources of news in both Germany and Nigeria, with just 1% of the total.
