The given pie charts demonstrate the driving force of people who arrived in and moved out of the United Kingdom in the year 2007. A glance at the charts reveal that the main factor influencing people’s decision was related to employment.
As can be seen from the charts, the main reason for people moving to and moving out of the UK was for definite job, accounting for nearly one-third. Over a quarter of immigrants who went to the UK for study, which was more than 6 times higher than that of the emigrants.
The propotions of those entered and left the UK for family reunion was quite simillar, at 15 percent and 13 percent, respectively. Interestingly, 12 percent of those enter the UK were seeking for job, around a half of those left the UK for a new job.
Besides, 18 percent of immigrants didn’t give any reason for leaving Britain, which was three times higher than those of emigrants side. Lastly, other reasons accounted for 14% of the emigrants, which was a bit higher than the immigrants.
