The pie charts illustrate the purposes of immigration and emigration in the USA in 2018.

Overall,the reason for the highest proportion of immigration was to join the family, while the majority of emigrants left the USA for guaranteed employment. Furthermore, the least common motive to immigrate and emigrate were additional causes, or the reasons were not stated.

According to the immigration chart, the percentage of people who join their family was 30%, and also that of those who were looking for work was close to 30% with 26%.Subsequently, the total of immigration for guaranteed employment represented 15%. Moreover, there were motives to immigrate for studies, other purposes or without stated reasons.

On the other hand, the proportion of the citizens who left the USA for guaranteed employment has the majority of emigration with 29%. Also, 22% of emigrants decided to leave for studying, and 18% were looking for work.
