Overall, it can be seen that donated food was the largest source of revenue compared to other sources of the charity. On the other hand , the highest expenditure of the charity was on program services . Additionally, it is clear that revenues are higher than expenditures in the children’s charity of the USA.
In terms of revenues, the highest amount of revenue 86.6% came from donated food . While 10.4% and 2.2% of revenues came from community contribution and program revenue respectively. In the remaining sources of revenue only 0.4% was on other income which is higher than investment income and government grants both at just 0.2% each.
On the other hand , program services accounted for the highest amount of expenditure at 95.8% was spent by the children’s charity. Whereas, expenditures on fundraising and management and general were merely 2.6% and 1.6% respectively. Additionally, the total revenue 5.35 billion was higher than the 5.32 billion expenditure.
