The pie charts illustrate and compare the means of energy production in France in the period of 10 years from 1995 and 2005. The different types of energy production sources are coal, gas, nuclear, petrol and other, measured in percentage.
Overall, it is seen that in both the years coal remains the major source of energy production, while other sources were the least. The use of petrol to produce energy was reduced in the following year.
Coal, gas and petrol were majorly used to produce energy in both the years. In comparison to the year 1995 the coal and gas usage was increased in year 2005 while for petrol it was reduced from 29.27% to 19.50%.
Over the 10 years period, the use of nuclear energy was increased from 6.4% to 10.10%. Similarly, the use of other means to produce energy was almost doubled in the year 2005(4.9% to 9.10%).
