The given pie charts demonstrate the proportion of different kinds of energy production of France in two years (1985 – 2005).
Overall, it is evident that the energy production showed increases and decreases in two different years. Coal accounted for the largest share (30%) in both years, while other energy production was the lowest.
Looking at the details, in 1985, the percentage of gas and coal made up the two highest shares, and in 2005, it maintained fairly stable (gas 30.87%, coal 30.83%). Moreover, the proportion of other energy production was minimal – only a very minimal increase in production from other energy.
Petro, on the other hand, in 1985 was 28.27%, making it one of the largest proportions. However, in 2005, the share of petro production dropped dramatically to 8.55%.
Meanwhile, the proportion of nuclear production made up 6.40% in 1985, but in 2005, the share of nuclear production increased slightly to 10.10%
