The three pie charts illustrate the primary sources of news among teenagers, young adults, and older people in 2022.

Overall, online news sites are the most popular source for both teenagers and young adults, while television is the preferred medium for older individuals. Printed newspapers are the least favored across all groups.

Looking at teenagers, more than half (52%) rely on online news sites, making it the dominant source. TV follows with 37%, whereas printed newspapers (7%) and other sources (4%) are much less popular. Similarly, among young adults, online news remains the most common (33%), although TV is almost as significant (35%). A larger proportion (26%) rely on other sources, while printed newspapers account for just 6%.

By contrast, older people prefer television (42%), with printed newspapers also being a major source (29%). Online news is less significant (6%), while other sources account for 23%. This indicates a clear generational shift, with younger groups favoring digital platforms and older individuals relying more on traditional media.
