Overall, Online news sites was the most popular source for both teenagers and young adults, while television was the preferred medium for older individuals. Printed newspapers was the least favored across all groups.
Looking at teenagers, more than half, which was approximately 52%, relied on online news sites, making it the dominant source. TV followed by 37%, whereas printed newspapers 7% and other sources 4% were much less popular. Similarly, young adults, online news remained the most common 33%, although TV was almost as significant 35%. A larger proportion, which was 26%, relied on other sources, while printed newspapers accounted for just 6%.
By contrast, older people preferred television (42%), with printed newspapers also being a major source 29%. Online news, which was standing at 6%, was less significant, while other sources accounted for 23%. This indicates a clear generational shift, with younger groups favoring digital platforms and older individuals relying more on traditional media.
