The pictures illustrate the changing landscape of a coastal town named Pebbleton over the past 20 years.
Overall, significant developments occurred in the northern part of the island, including new housing, enhanced recreational facilities, and improved transportation, while the southern area of the island and the mainland remained largely unchanged.
Over the past 20 years, Pebbleton’s northern area has experienced significant changes. On the northwest coast, the lighthouse remains, but the fort has been transformed into a children’s playground, adjacent to a newly built community center. The housing areas to the right-hand side of the community center have expanded, adding three houses for a total of seven. Across from the community center, a new tennis court now stands.
In the south of the island and on the mainland, the landscape has mostly stayed the same. The southern coast continues to feature a playing field. The Old Fort Road still spans the island, linking to a southeastern roundabout, and the Roadbridge connecting the mainland to the island remains unchanged. The only notable transformations include the conversion of the film studio into flats and the addition of a new footpath opposite the flats, running parallel to the Roadbridge and leading residents to the mainland school.
