From an overall perspective, it is readily apparent that the island has changed significantly in the north, with the additions of recreational and transportation facilities aimed at people’s convenient and lively lives, while the eastern and southern parts have remained unchanged.
Over the past two decades, substantial changes have occurred along the northern coast of the village. In the northwest, the lighthouse remains unchanged, while the old fort has been replaced by a children’s playground, which now sits adjacent to the newly constructed community center. On the right side of the community center, the accommodation has been expanded from four to seven houses. Additionally, a tennis court has been established across from the lighthouse in the northwest.
On the southern part of the mainland, the landscape remains largely unchanged. The southern coastal area still features the playing field. The Old Fort Road continues to traverse the village, linking it to the southern island via a roundabout and a bridge. Notably, the building formerly used as a film studio has been converted into flats, and a footpath has recently been constructed, running parallel to the Roadbridge and guiding residents to the school.
