Given are the two maps illustrating the alternations have been taken place in the village of Pebbleton from 20 years ago to the present.
Overall, it is apparent that the area have witnessed significant changes over the period examined while lighthouse, playing field and school witnessed no changes.
Regarding to the upper part of the map, lighthouse, which was located in the northwest of the village, has been remained unchanged until the present while the old fort on its southeast side has been demolished to make way for children’s playround. On the eastern side of the lighthouse, a new community centre has been built and more residential houses have been constructed, stretching from the west to the east.
To the west of the bottom part, the film studio has been coverted in to flats. Meanwhile, a new foothpath, leading to the footbridge and tennis courts have been constructed to the west of the lighthouse lane, which branched off from the old fort road. The playing field to the south of this road has been remained changed, same as its southern school which was located in the mainland.
