The maps illustrate the development of Pebbleton over the last twenty years. Overall, it is clear that Pebbleton has undergone significant changes, with the most noticeable being the increase in accommodation and other facilities, including footpaths, tennis courts, and a community center.
In the initial map, the two areas were connected by the Roadbridge, which linked the road networks in both regions. Most of the village was situated on the island connecting to Old Fort Road. This road featured a playing field below and ended with a film studio. Additionally, a branch of Old Fort Road bordered the lighthouse land and accommodations, which were also near an old ford and lighthouse at the end of the island.
However, in recent years, several functional places have been added to the area, including a tennis court, a children’s playground, and a community center, along with the expansion of the housing estate.
In the past, the coastline was barren, containing only a road called Coast Road and a school located nearby. There have been minor changes in this region, except for the construction of a footpath leading to the island.
