The maps illustrate a bookstore’s layout in 2000 and its alteration at the present.
Overall, the bookstore has experienced significant changes. The most noticeable modifications have included the addition of facilities and the switch between bookshelves’ positions.
In 2000, the only entrance was located in the south of the map. The western region was dominated by fiction shelfs, adjacent to another fiction bookshelf to the north. There was a section for non-fiction in the northeast of the map, with a service desk beside. A new books table was established directly across from the entrance in the south and an area for travel books was situated on the left of the table. There are three sections for books like cookery, hobbies and art in the middle of the map, opposite non-fiction bookshelves.
At present, the layout has exhibited significant changes. The facilities such as the entrance, service desk, new books table, and travel bookshelves has remained in its original position. The fiction books’ sections in the west have been reduced in size to make way for the art, hobbies, and cookery books, with art bookshelves and zone for fiction books flank, the art books by the art ones and then cookery genre. The non-fiction bookshelves in the northeast have been relocated in the north, and northern fiction areas has been converted into non-fiction zones. A café counter has built in the northeast of the map, replacing non-fiction bookshelves. There were two additional circle tables opposite the café counter.
