The layouts of a college café illustrate the changes before and after the redesign.
Overall, it is noticeable that the territory of the café has expanded, providing the barbeque zone and outdoor seating tables. Similarly, more sectors, such as salad bar, take away food, and coffee bar have been built, allowing access to various eating options for students and employees.
Looking at the major modifications, the outdoor area has been developed. Specifically, the barbeque bar was constructed in the south western part of the plan with the wide dining zone situated next to it.
Inside the canteen, the serving area, where all food and drinks used to be presented, was replaced by a hot meals section. In the same way, the staff dining rooms, which were located further to the east, were transformed into the take away food zone and coffee bar after the redesign. Additionally, the salad bar has been set up along the western wall, while the trash cans on the left side from the main entrance have been converted into recycling bins.
