The plans illustrate the changes that have been made to the layout and facilities of a café following its redesign.
Overall, the café has undergone substantial changes, with several new food and service facilities being introduced and additional seating provided outside. While the kitchen and toilets have remained in their original locations, most of the other areas have been modified or replaced.
Previously, the upper-left section consisted of a kitchen with a serving area for food and drinks directly below it. In the redesigned café, the serving area has been replaced by a hot-meals section. The two staff dining rooms in the centre of the building have also been converted into a takeaway-food counter and a coffee bar. The main area containing tables and chairs has remained largely unchanged, although a salad bar has been added along the left-hand wall. On the right, the former bar has been removed and replaced by recycling bins, while the toilets have been retained in the south-eastern corner.
The most notable external development is the addition of a large outdoor seating area along the southern side of the café. A barbecue has also been installed at the south-western end, providing another facility for customers.
