The figure shows the transformation of port harbour in various ways, comparing it form back in 2000 to how it looks today.On dividing the plan into two halves North and South side we can see diferent kinds of developement on both halves.
Starting with north side it is evidant that there is increase in number of Dock from 1 in 2000 to 2 docks at present correspondingly passenger ferries increased from 2 to 3 respectively. The rectangular area in the North-West which was called Marina in back 2000 is now changed to fishing boats area, increasing the number of overall boats on the nothern side of harbour.
Coming to south side we can see different kinds of new developments held over the years. In 2000 area left to lifeboat consist of empty space which is now ocupied by cafes and shops, focusing on sowth-west side we can see replacement of fishing boats area with Marina (private yachts) also in the south side new showers and toilets are now present which was not there in back 2000. In the south – east corner castle has been replaced with a hotel of same shape also the beach which was available to public near to castle in 2000 is now dedicated to only hotel arrivals. A seperate road has been constructed for the hotel arrivals.
Overall, we can conclude that there has been significant improvements and changes on both sides of port harbour, with south side seeing more major changes. One might conclude that these changes leads to increase in the tourism generating sufficent revenue by attracting people from around the world.
