The diagrams illustrate the comparison of Porth Harbour in 2000 and today. Overall, the most notable development is that the harbour has evolved from a simple port into a multifunctional space catering to the growing number of tourists, with enhanced facilities and optimized use of layout.
In 2000, there was only one dock for mooring ferries for the public, while an additional one was constructed to accommodate the increasing passengers today. The parking spaces for private yachts and fishing boats exchanged positions. It shows that the original marina was not enough to accommodate the increasing number of yachts. The main road has one more branch road to connect the car park directly, with additional showers and toilets, allowing a reduction in congestion.
Regarding the constructions for the visitors, there are more unique cafes and shops along the shore, adjacent to the area where the lifeboat remains. Meanwhile, the originally disused castle turned into a fantastic hotel with an exclusive beach rather than a public beach after renovation, and a new road was built to link the hotel area with the main road and key sightseeing attractions.
