The maps compare the layout of Porth Harbour over the 20-year period from 2000 to 2025.
Overall, the maps highlight the significant transformations in the area, in terms of facilities and services, and the area has been developed into a more modern and tourist-friendly location.
The entrance of the car park in 2000, which is situated in south-west of the map and next to Fishing boats, has been now connected directly to the Main road rather than side road. Marina for private yachts, and area reserved for fishing boats has relocated to the each other’s position in 2000. Cafes and shops have constructed in the free space, which is next to the Lifeboal to support social life in the port. Additionally, a disused castle has been converted into a hotel, accompanied by the turning of the public beach next to castle into a private beach. The last change is the number of dock is increased to two.
Despite these transformations, some key facilities have remained unchanged. The shower and toilets, car park, which is next to Marina in 2000, Lifeboal, passenger fernes and public beach located in nrth-east of the map have continued to serve community in their locations.
