The provided plans illustrate the transformation of the public library, depicting its layout in 2005 to its current configuration.

Broadly speaking, the rectangular outline and southern entrance have been preserved, but the interior has been substantially reorganised.

While, the entrance to the public library remains same. The enquiry desk on the right side of the entrance is replaced with a cafe. The reference room, on further down to the entrance is redesigned into a computers room. The room at the end of the right side, consisting of children’s books is now restructured into a spacious children’s area.

Concurrently, the fiction room towards the left of the entrance remains the same. However, the size of the fiction room is noticably reduced as part of the redevelopment.
