The given illustrations display Beechwood Farm’s layout in 1950 and at present.
Looking from an overall perspective, it is evident that the farm has become significantly more accessible and has transformed from a primarily agricultural zone into a recreational area.
To begin with, the former sheep section was divided into two parts: one for a new camping field and the other for modern solar panels, with a parking zone along the road. Previously, a track ran across the farm; however, in the present day, a newly constructed road has replaced it. While the farmhouse and chickens area remained undisturbed, a barn was reduced in size and relocated, with holiday cottages built on its former site.
Fields for soft fruits and vegetables have maintained their original size and position, whereas a farm shop has been established as a part of the fruit trees section. On top of that, an additional parking zone has been introduced, located right in front of the farm shop. Finally, the river stretching along the farm has remained unchanged.
